Daniela Marino, is the Co-Project Leader of the Wyss Zurich project denovoSkin and Co-Founder and CEO of the spin-off CUTISS AG.
She was one of several speakers at TEDx women in Zurich, 2019. Her talk is now uploaded on Youtube and accessable for everyone. Daniela spoke about her experience as a mother and CEO of a start-up and how she can profit from the interchange of both roles, respectively.
In particular, she mentions the following survival skills: how to build trust, how to handle and manage stress, and how to delegate better. All these skills can be mastered through the experience of both roles, mother and CEO.
Moreover, Daniela's work taught her to envision a mission for the team at home, her family, too. She elaborates further on examples, how she and her daughter worked on a mission to explain the work of CUTISS AG to children by a short video. She was able to spend quality time with her daughter and make progress in the company's awareness.
In her talk, she encourages the society to support female CEO's instead of discouraging or discriminating them. Female managers with children have the great chance to train at home how to be better managers and to train at work how to be better mothers.
The talk ends with Daniela Marino's definition of Managers that are also mothers:
as beautiful creatures that have a lot to give to society, future generations and the industry.
