Rao

Aparna is a part of Pors & Rao, a Bangalore based art duo working with objects and installations that often incorporate lifelike physical movement and responsive behaviours. Many of the works are conceived as a kind of 'being' with basic behaviour patterns such as shyness, fatigue and dependence, highlighting involuntary aspects of human behaviour and relationships. Michael Somoroff
Artist in Residence

Somoroff

Michael Somoroff is an artist working in various mediums known for his knowledge of spirituality and marketing. Whether in motion or still, Somoroff has directed and contributed content to major cultural platforms and publications around the world. He has led the marketing efforts and management of prominent corporations on the both sides of the Atlantic. In addition, he has earned an international reputation as a conceptual artist known for radically redefining the categories of artistic production and the commerce they engage. The results of his professional endeavors are well represented in international advertising campaigns, museum collections and diverse cultural platforms throughout the world. He has contributed to the programs of such prominent academic/cultural institutions as the State University of New York, the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA; the Rothko Chapel, Houston, Tex; and the International Center of Photography, New York City.

He is a founding partner at Somoroff+IF, New York City and Los Angeles, and serves as artist in residence at Wyss Zurich.
